What is meant by a Short Story?
To look this up on the internet is in some ways fatal, as it will reward you with many contradictions. Generally though, they all agree on one thing, a short story is a pointed, short narrative whilst remaining economical on character, plot and story.
Stories like all forms of entertainment are viewed subjectively and short stories are no different. For any narrative to work it has to immerse the reader in its world; but how to do this in 1000 words or less? In many cases short stories can leave you with more questions than answers, but if you continue to think about the subject matter after you have finished the story, then this would be considered a success.

From a simple idea we can write a short story that will fit your requirements of up to 7500 words. Using a process driven technique we are able to take a simple idea you may have and expand it. During the initial consultation, we will discuss what kind of genre and the basic plot. We will take this information and create a template outline that gives you an overview. At this point you are free to make some changes to the basic premise. Finally we will provide you with a copy for your approval.
